Day For Life 2008

Day for Life in Ireland

The Catholic Church’s Day for Life in Ireland will be held next Sunday 5th October.

As you know, The Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales join together to celebrate the Day for Life – a day instigated by the late Pope John Paul II, dedicated to celebrating the sanctity of human life from its very beginning to its natural end. Mental ill-health can happen to anyone – 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem at some stage of their life.

Day for Life – the day in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating the sacredness of life – will focus this year on the theme of mental health. To help us prepare for Day of Life there are some novena cards available in the church porches.
