Growing In Faith Together (G.I.F.T.)
Young people from St Oliver Plunkett Parish, aged 16-18, are being trained at St Louis House to run the G.I.F.T. programme.
G.I.F.T. is specifically for Year 8 pupils and its aim is to bridge the gap between RE class and life in the world outside the classroom. It raises issues such as the transition from primary to secondary school, making friends and discovering talents and gifts through a faith-based programme combined with fun activities. G.I.F.T. will take place in the Parish Hall after school once a week.
We will publish the start date in next week’s bulletin.

World Day of the Sick & Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes
Saturday 11th February
Each year since 1993 we have celebrated World Day of the Sick on 11th February, the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes. Pope John Paul II asked that this day be "a special time of prayer and sharing, of offering one's suffering for the good of the Church and of reminding everyone to see in his sick brother or sister the face of Christ who, by suffering, dying and rising, achieved the salvation of mankind.”

Are You Making Your First Holy Communion?
We are aware that a number of our young parishioners who attend schools outside the Parish will be making their First Holy Communion this spring. We are keen that this important event is recognised for all our young people. We are therefore encouraging them to come along to the 12 o’clock Mass the day after their First Communion in their suits and dresses and be officially acknowledged by Fr. Magill and the Parish
community. If your child attends Bunscoil Phobal Feirste, Gaelscoil na bhFál or any other school outside the Parish, and is making their First Holy Communion, please give their details to the Parish Office.
