The Garment of Suffering
The Garment of Suffering symbolizes the hurt that is contained in our lives and community.
The pieces of cloth left in the church have been collected and will be sewn together into one complete garment. On Good Friday after the Veneration of the Cross the garment will be draped over the Cross and left there throughout Easter. At Pentecost the garment will be removed and burnt. During Lent and Easter, we will pray to be healed.

Swine Flu Pandemic Update
The Diocesan Liturgy Commission has reviewed the recommendations made in light of the Swine Flu Pandemic and having consulted with the Department of Health & Social Services, as well as other health professionals, the Commission advised that the recommendations previously made now be revoked.
To that end the Commission recommend:
1. That Parishes return to their customary practices as before. The Sign of Peace may be reintroduced.
2. That Parishes should however continue to retain good practice in relation to hygiene for extra-ordinary ministers of Holy Communion.
3. It is recommended that the return to normal practice be put in place for Holy Week.
